RESEARCH THEME
EApplication of Wave Control to Mechanical Systems
Researches on the application of Wave Control,
a new method of vibration control, for the practical mechanical systems
have been conducted. The controlled system becomes virtually an infinitive
structure and has no natural frequencies. Besides the disappearance of
the resonance peak the amplitude becomes extremely small theoretically.
The problem is the control algorithm. I have developed the control method
using the psudo-infinitive structure in a computer which is applicable
to almost arbitrary mechanical systems.
The application of this method to the vibration
control of Crane Systems have been done,
and the practical effectiveness are confirmed (papers 1 to 3). Now
by applying this method a Torsional Vibration Absorber is
developing (P1). In the future I will apply this method to the vibration
control of rotor system suspended by magnetic bearings.
EVibration Analysis and Control of Rotating System
My early research concerned with the Torque
Whirl that was found for the first time by myself (4 to 12). The
Self-excited Vibration caused by Universal Joints
of propeller shaft has been treated (15 to 18). The balancing of the double
cylindrical rotor was also studied for super-conducting generator (13 to
14). In the future the vibration of the flywheel system suspended by the
super-conducting bearings and active bearings will be treated.
