Technical Tour Program [ Final Plan ] Registration for Technical Tour was closed!

[(10/30) Tour to the unique industries in Kagawa Prefecture]
5,000 JPY/Person, Lunch is included.

 There are many unique industries in Kagawa Prefecture. Some of them are known in the world in their special world. The tour will visit some of them. The tour will be held on October 30. In the morning, The tour will visit RYUSHO INDUSTRY Co. Ltd. where you will see a special type of optical devices, refract meters, and other unique devices. You will have traditional lunch At RITSURIN PARK. Then you will visit ORIENTAL MOTORS CO. LTD. Takamatsu Factory. They are producing special type of small motors. They have introduced unique production systems. The tour will start from RIGHA HOTEL ZEST TAKAMATSU at 9:00 am and go back to the official hotels about 17:00 p.m.
All participants, who have completed the registration process, should show up  RIGHA HOTEL ZEST TAKAMATSU at 8:50 am
Monday October 30, 2000.

[(10/31) Tour to the high-tech company ]
5,000 JPY/Person, Lunch is included.

 The tour will visit one of the PANASONIC group high technology companies, MATSUSHITA KOTOBUKI ELECTRONICS CO. LTD. They will show the memory devices, special medical devices and some automatic inspection machines. The tour will start from RIGHA HOTEL ZEST TAKAMATSU at 9:00 a.m. and go back to the welcome party site about 17:30 p.m. The final destination of the bus will be the official hotels.

Parties [ Semi Final Plan ]

 [(10/31) Reception] :

 The reception will be held on October 31, 17:40-19:30 at the university restaurant, which will be jointly organized with the International Mechatronics Forum (in Japanese) held on Oct. 31. All IROS2000 participants and accompanied persons are invited. A buffet style meal will be served. You can meet many important people in the area and special ceremony will be held.

[(11/1) Welcome Party] :

 The welcome party will be held on November 1, 19:00-20:00 at the University Restrant. All IROS2000 participants and accompanied persons are invited. A light buffet style meal will be served. (Drinks and snacks will be served.)

[(11/2) Banquet] :

The official banquet will be held on November 2, 19:00-22:00 at Marugame Okura Hotel where we can have nice view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge. Participants paying regular registration fee are invited to the banquet. The accompany persons or participants paying students fee are requested to pay additional fee to join this banquet.
 
 

[(11/3) Farewell Party] :

 After the all conference programs, the farewell party will be held on Nov. 3, 16:30-18:30 at the University Restrant. All IROS2000 participants and accompanied persons are invited. Drinks and snacks will be served.

Family Programs [ Final Plan ]

 To welcome you and your family, friendly FAMILY PROGRAMs are prepared on November 1, 2 and 3. All the programs are requested to pay 3000 JPY. Lunches are included. The reservation should be made with the registration from. The following three programs are planned, though some of the details may be changed.

[(11/1) Sightseeing around Takamatsu City ]
3,000 JPY/Person, Lunch is included.

 The tour will visit Ritsurin Park where is one of the most beautiful traditional Japanese garden. Then, move to Shikoku-Mura, where you can see many old Japanese houses for farmers, fishermen, etc., or some other nice places. You can taste Japanese Noodles, UDON, which is one of the most famous local foods. The tour will start from the conference site at 9:30 a.m. The bus will come back to the official hotels around 4 p.m. Final destination of the bus will be the conference site.

Ritsurin Park	Shikoku Mura

[(11/2) Sightseeing in Kagawa Prefecture](Place Change!)
3,000 JPY/Person, Lunch is included.

 There are many nice sightseeing places in Kagawa prefecture. Also, some places are well known as stone-craft places. A famous stone artist, Isamu Noguchi, had his studio in Kagawa prefecture. Currently, his studio became a museum where many stone works are arranged as he desired.
The tour will visit "Isamu Noguchi Memoriam Museum," first. Then, it will visit "Seto-Ohashi bridge," one of the longest bridge in the world, and have a lunch there. After the bridge, the tour will visit "Marugame Castle," which is one of the beautiful Japanese castles, where sometimes the flower contest will be held. The tour will visit those places.
The tour will start from the conference site at 9:30 a.m. The final destination of the bus will be the official hotels. Before the hotels, the bus will stop at the Marugame Okura Hotel, where the official banquet held. You can have a rest at the hotel and attend the party.

Isamu Noguchi Memoriam Musium	Seto-Ohashi Bridge

[(11/3) Experience of Japanese Culture]
3,000 JPY/Person, Lunch is included.

The tour will start from RIGHA HOTEL ZEST TAKAMATSU at 9:45 a.m. In the morning the experience of tea ceremony will bw hwld. The tour includes a beautiful lunch at an old Japanese restaurant. After the lunch, the Japanese Character writing with Japanese Brush will be introduced. After the writing, the shopping tour guide in Takamatsu city will be introduced on the request base.  The shopping zone is colse to hotels. You can leave the tour at any time. Whole the tour will be finished at 4 pm.
