The micro-lathe is developed to
materialize the concept of Micro-factory.
Its accuracy is equal to or better than
conventional one. Moreover, It proved
space and energy saving effect of
Micro-factory.

We do research on microtribology in order
to clarify the tribological
characteristics under an extremely low
normal load where the effect of the
adhesion forces is not negligible.

Two types of micropumps are being
developed, where variation of fluid
characteristics and beating wings
transport fluid, respectively.

Tensile Testing
Special mechanical test methods for the
materials used in micro-machines are under
development. The effects of
micro-structure, micro-defects, and
surface layers on mechanical properties
are also being studied.

 Development
of Photostrictive actuator
My reserch topics is to clarify the
relationships between the physical
properties and its production method, in
order to develop and improve the
photostrictive actuators.
