Research Activities

@There is an increasing engineering demand for materials which improve specific strength and toughness in addition to better performance in terms of tribology characteristics, corrosion resistance, and reliability. Research at MEL aims to meet these demands by work on the design and procesing of new metallic materials and evaluation of their reliability and tribological properties under extreme environmental conditions.

  1. Supermetals
  2. Superplasticity and Internal Friction
  3. Damage Tolerance of Advanced Structural Materials
  4. Structural Integrity of Superconducting Devices
  5. Material Behavior Analysis in Atomic Scale
  6. Laser Applied Material Processing Technology
  7. New-tribomaterials
  8. Eco-tribology
