8. Analysis of Tire Performance Under Icy Conditions
　　Tire performance on ice is a key factor affecting vehicle dynamics under icy conditions. A test rig has been developed for evaluating tire performance on ice, in which the tire runs on a uniform coating of ice on the inside of a rotating drum. The rig is currently used for the development of test standards, and for analysis of the mechanism of tire traction under several kinds of icy conditions.
